Tesla coil software. For Lieutenant Murphy of the Chicago Police, it’s clear something strange is going on, so she calls on Harry, who occasionally works as a special consultant to the police department, helping with crimes that appear to have no worldly explanation. The magical universe Jim Butcher has created is both believable and fascinating. Learning about that world through Harry’s eyes is what I believe is the best part of these books.While the format fits more in the urban fantasy genre, it has many tropes and themes related to the magic genre. The storyline is unique, fast paced and interesting, having very good fluidity from start to finish with no cut scenes.
Jim Butcher has done a fantastic job with this series in general, and the first book is one of the best.The Bad:I wish the story was longer, and a little more developed – especially in regards to the extra characters. But i’ll talk about that below. One positive about the length is that you can get through many of them:). Perfect for my 4 and a half hour trips to my home town to see the folks.CHARACTERSThe Good:Harry Dresden is an engaging, being only wizard listed in Chicago. His adventures are entertaining and laced with humor, and the mystery aspect was well handled.

/span6span6The Bad:Storm Front has many other characters, though i think that they are not as quite as developed as they could be, and more often appear as one-dimensional figures.NARRATORThe Good:The Audiobooks are narrated by James Marsters. Marsters is something special, he has a huge theatre background which means he has the sheer stamina to do unabridged novels. He also had a fabulous voice. His narrations are clear and clean with great pronunciation.
